A Timeless Town Luxury Mansion

The mansion was built in 1864. Once the dwelling of an eminent family, it has been classified as a historical listed building that is representative of the neoclassical style, which flourished in 19th century Ermoupolis.

The mansion was restored from ground-up in 2016. It was the current owners’ passion for that romantic era and neoclassicism that guided the restoration. The result was truly amazing, a fully-functional modern five-star guest house in a superbly restored 19th century mansion.

Villa Di Porta was named after the place where it is situated. The residence has 3 levels, ground floor, first floor and rooftop terrace, 135m² each. From the rooftop terrace one can enjoy the stunning view to the Aegean blue waters, Little Venice and Ermoupolis.

The mansion is available for rental as a whole house and not as separated rooms.

Villa Di Porta is located in Ermoupolis, well-preserved mansions of old Syriot ship-owner families and sea captains. It is situated within the historical centre and a stone’s throw from Ermoupolis’s most popular sights, including Small Venice, where neoclassical buildings are constructed on the rock embracing the waves, the imposing temple of Saint Nicholas, the architectural miracle of the Apollo Theatre, the unparalleled central square with the Town Hall – palace designed by the famous 19th century architect Ernst Ziller. Next to Villa Di Porta stands the Historical and Folklore Museum, which is housed in Rethimnis Mansion (a ship-owner and benefactor from Kassos), a building of unique architecture.

The cosmopolitan fully-organised all-day beach of Asteria is just a hundred-metre walk from the mansion’s gate.
