A private beach, two pools, and a full gym make this a perfect place for active travelers. There are two eating areas – indoor and outdoor and accommodates 14 guests comfortably. All rooms have private bathrooms and the rooftop pool and bar make it an amazing sunrise and sunset location.

Space

Space is designed with an emphasis on nature. Every room has floor to ceiling windows to be able to see the beautiful Caribbean ocean in the front and the protected mangroves in the back.

Natural Tzalam wood finishes and furniture married with natural stone from the region with Italian ceramic tiles allow for a comfortable sophisticated feel while embracing nature that surrounds the home.

Art from some of Mexico’s most famous painters is displayed on the bottom floor.

But despite the beauty inside, this house is about being right on a sandy beach with the blue ocean that ranges in temperature from 79-82 degrees year-round. Since the bay is protected by a coral reef, snorkeling, swimming, and kayaking are some of the best ways to spend time at Mayan Villa.

Interaction with guests

The Villa provides a property manager who will meet you and orient you to the home. There is full-time staff including a housekeeper and maintenance man and cooking staff to provide meals and clean up the kitchen and pantry. There is also, a concierge who will help you plan your local excursions and guided tours.

Guest access

The entire house is available to guests except for two rooms that are locked off for owners use only (those rooms are not pictured). Of particular note is the gym which has brand new life-master equipment as well as weights, rowing machine, TRX equipment, kettlebells, etc.

Other things to note

One of the great things about Mayan Villa is its proximity to activities. Ruins, snorkeling, and scuba diving in cenotes, kitesurfing, adventure parks, ziplining can all be found within 15 minutes of the house. Further trips to go diving with whale sharks, swimming with dolphins, picture taking of the pink flamingos all are available within 2 hours.
