Located in the gorgeous island of Koufonisia, boasting majestic beaches, picturesque whitewashed houses and beachfront tavernas. A newly build Villa, typical of the islands unique architecture, welcomes you with state-of-the-art services, just a few minutes’ walks from Pori, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Aegean.

ESSENCE VILLA DETAILS

It is a 4-bedroom Villa with a swimming pool and a 4.000m2 garden, facing south and is 500m from Fanos beach.

The villa is on top of a hill overlooking the beaches of Fanos & Italida and offering stunning views of the nearby islands.

The house is composed of 3 separate buildings: the first bld has a King bedroom with bathtub, walk-in closet, and en-suite shower bathroom, the second bld has the living/dining/kitchen room area, and the third bld has 3 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms on 2 levels (sea level & basement).

There is a pergola with an outdoor lounge & dining area ideal for spending a lazy afternoon with friends and family by the swimming pool.

The outdoor areas and garden invite guests to cool down from the summer heat and enjoy the magnificent view of the sea and Keros island.

Big windows let the landscape flow onto the interior which features a joyful blend of contemporary design and modern furniture. The living/dining room building has a double height with a marble top kitchen and a fireplace.

The master bedroom has a built-in bathtub, a big window overlooking the beach and a bathroom with handmade cement colored tiles.

The other bedrooms are comfortable and cozy with private bathrooms and fabulous views. In between the buildings, there is a BBQ area with table and benches for outdoor dining, enjoying the sunset and the landscape.

THE LOCATION FANOS BEACH

FANOS BEACH

Fanos beach is located in the south of Koufonisi, facing Keros island. Stunning clear water with fine sand, suitable for snorkeling and swimming too near small water caves. You can reach from the Port/Chora with a water taxi or a 20 mins slow walk. The best beach for windy days with a nice beach bar with music, drinks, and snacks.

THE ISLAND

Koufonisia includes three main islands:

Koufonisi or Pano (Upper) Koufonisi

Kato (Lower) Koufonisi and Keros

Geographically, they are located on the southeast side of Naxos and the west side of Amorgos and belong to the complex of the Lesser East Cyclades. Uninhabited Keros is a protected archaeological site from which a large number of ancient Cycladic art pieces was excavated in the 20th century.

Koufonisia means “the hollow islands” in Greek – two low little islands of a friable rock have had their coastlines nibbled away by the wind and waves to form wonderful beaches and caves and strange rock formations.

Easy to get to, flying to Mykonos or Santorini and then the Sea-Jet boat to Koufonissi (1,30 hrs trip) or the High-Speed ferry from Piraeus (port of Athens) to Koufonissi (4,5 hrs trip). This is the Cyclades as they were 50 years ago. We love it.
