With panoramic bay views from its hilltop perch, Cathedral Villa is a dazzling designer villa at Cape Yamu on Phuket’s east coast. This fully staffed, nine-bedroom holiday hideaway will inspire groups and families seeking tranquility and sublime luxury.
Entertain and relax in Villa’s sumptuous indoor and outdoor living areas, including its media and games room, dining room, and grand entrance reception room. Unwind at the villa’s private spa, refresh in the 24-meter pool, energies body and soul at the gym, beachfront yoga deck and putting green, or have some family fun with the sea kayaks and table tennis.
Cathedral Villa’s guests also enjoy access to the Point Yamu by COMO resort facilities, including its private beach club on Naka Yai island at a nominal fee.
With its awe-inspiring design and serene hilltop setting, Cathedral Villa is an exquisite holiday escape and an ideal base for discovering the lesser-known charms of Phuket’s magnificent east coast.
One of 17 luxury residences in The Cape, an elegant private community on Cape Yamu, Cathedral Villa is a large and lavish retreat. The villa’s nine bedrooms and gorgeous living areas are spread over three levels and acres of landscaped gardens leading down to the beach. Views across Phang Nga Bay are breathtaking, especially when the sea and sky are bathed in golden light at sunrise.
Groups and families will relish Villa’s extensive facilities, which include a gym, games and media room, dining room with guest kitchen, spa, putting green and boathouse with a yoga deck, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards. Reflecting its location on the doorstep of Phuket’s marine delights, Villa’s beauty, and tranquility are enhanced by carefully designed water features throughout. Along with its dreamy 24-meter lava-rock swimming pool are reflecting pools and a waterfall wall.
The villa’s drama and dazzle come from effective use of space and light, best showcased by its vaulted-roof entrance hall with floor-to-ceiling metal panels of intricate design and its glass-fronted exterior that glitters in the morning sunlight. The collection of art, including Thai temple spire pieces rising from the waterfall pool and large bronze sculptures, make bold statements without distraction. Interior walls are mostly unadorned, allowing their beautiful textures to shine through.
LOCATION
Cathedral Villa Phuket sits high on The Cape Yamu peninsula on Phuket’s east coast. From the villa’s entrance, the ocean gleams to both the east and west. Bordering the lower season of the villa’s large, sloping gardens is a quiet, semi‑private beach (good for kayaking and long sandy walks, but not so suitable for swimming).
Within the estate is the excellent Breeze restaurant, and guests also have access to the sports, dining and wellness facilities at the Point Yamu by COMO resort hotel, including the hotel’s beach club on a nearby island, Koh Naka Yai. The waterfront promenade and small pier along the road that leads to The Cape estate is a good place for a stroll to take in the local life, especially when the sun gives the bay a golden and crimson glow.
