The Villa

Aronia Villa is an exceptional private home set outside the beautiful little town of Naoussa, in Paros of Cyclades, offering a pleasant and cozy atmosphere.

A large bright terrace with pergolas shelters the property, giving it seclusion and brightness, while colorful flowering plants add to the oasis-like atmosphere. The newly built swimming pool adds freshness and wellbeing to all its guests.

Stone footpaths wind through the green garden, surprisingly lush for being so close to the coast.

ARCHITECTURE

Offering an interior of 275 square meters, approximately 3,000 square feet, it is based on an initiative designed island home and was completely renovated in 2010.

The elemental, unfussy Cycladic design features large spaces connected by high rounded arches. Rooms on the ground floor include a very spacious central salon and dining area, a deluxe kitchen, three bright, welcoming bedrooms with two bathrooms. On the first floor feature another three bedrooms with traditional stone -built beds as well as two more bathrooms and a sun bathed terrace made for relaxation.

The floors are made of fine, subtly shaped stone. All technical elements of the residence including the roof, doors, windows, electricity, plumbing, and heating are new. The house thus combines the charm of a traditional island home with the comforts of a new one. It is offered fully furnished and equipped. All of the furniture was hand-built to order for this residence.

Aronia Villa was constructed in 1990 but was fully renovated in 2015. It lies on 2 floors and has a sublime garden covered by a wooden pergola perfect for relaxation, a sunbathed terrace with sun beds, as well as an enjoyable backyard with external shower.

White and khakis are the dominant colors of the house, but you also meet other earth colors (light grey, cream white, Lila, etc.) which blend perfectly with the living spaces.

SPACES

On the ground floor, there are two spacious master king size bedrooms with custom built-in double beds, two very large three bedded rooms with colorful wooden beds and closets, four bright bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with an American type bar and a very sunny and cozy living room.

On the first floor, there are two twin bedded rooms and one king size master bedroom, each with its very own balcony and stone mounted beds as well as two fully functional bathrooms.

The exterior spaces of the house consist of a beautiful garden surrounded by bougainvillea and climbing vineyards on the pergola. The barbecue place is located next to the big wooden table ready for some long nights of octopus with ouzo.

The big sea view terrace on the first floor is perfect for relaxing and sunbathing in the long warm summer afternoons. The nicely planted backyard which is located right behind the three ground floor bedrooms offers a note of dew and coolness thanks to its exterior shower directly accessible from the house.

Other spaces of the house include an entirely private swimming pool in the backyard as well as a laundry room with a fully equipped washing machine and a small storage room in the yard.

LOCATION

Aronia Villa is located only 60 meters from the water and 180 meters from the closest sandy beach.

Although its location offers excellent proximity, because it is situated at the top of the small hill of the village, close to the Big Orthodox church (Panagia), the house is independent of any traffic or noise from the village’s reverberations.

THE ISLAND

The island of Paros is situated in the middle of the Cyclades island complex and between the islands of Naxos and Antiparos. It is among the major islands of the Aegean Sea (its surface is about 200 square km) in length with a coastline of 120 km of beaches!

The capital of Paros is Parikia village which lies west from the island. It is also the village which is the main port of the island where all the ferries arrive from Athens. The second largest village, but after all, much more beautiful, colorful and vivid than Parikia, is Naoussa which is located in the northern part of the island (9km).

NAOUSSA VILLAGE

The village of Naoussa is also a small port, and it is considered as one of the most beautiful villages of the Cyclades. Naoussa is a traditional village that has all the traditional attributes of Greece: small white cubic houses, dazzling white churches, narrow streets adorned with bougainvillea and jasmine, a small port, lively terraces where people eat fish or octopus drizzled with ouzo…

The port of Naoussa makes you dream. Near the port, there are also remains of a Venetian castle … Although Naoussa is much calmer than Parikia, bars and nightclubs abound. Naoussa is also famous for its beautiful beaches; you can take the small boat from the harbor towards the many golden sand beaches of the bay of Kolimbithyres, Agios Ioannis, Santa Maria…

The area which is undoubtedly the most beautiful is the little port as there are many restaurants, cafes, bars and shops in the adjacent lanes. The port comes to life during the evening and offers a wide selection of bars where someone can enjoy a glass of wine at the seaside or dance to the beat of nightclubs that are located nearby…
